The roots of our story
Our family’s engineering heritage begins before TAWAR. A career in the field laid the foundation for a lasting respect for building, responsibility and trust.
TAWAR’s heritage
Our engineering roots.
Explore TAWAR’s family engineering roots from 1996 and the launch of the TAWAR group in 2023, based in Kondotty, Kerala.
Architectural inspirationBasith’s introduction to engineering began by accompanying his father, a PWD engineer, to construction sites. Helping with measurements and observing the work gave him an early respect for the profession.
His father, friends and fellow professionals contribute experience and perspective alongside a new generation. TAWAR’s engineering roots reach back to 1996; the group launched in 2023.
Early site-engineering work introduced Basith to the practical demands of construction. Work with building materials through JSW Steel’s distribution ecosystem showed him how product knowledge influences quality.
Consulting and quality assurance work in Qatar broadened that perspective. Back in Kerala, that understanding became the idea behind TAWAR: specialist businesses connected by transparency and a commitment to building well.
Learning on site
Basith began his career in site engineering, gaining hands-on experience in coordination, reporting and the realities of construction.
A broader perspective
